At least it is not too far from Rutgers to Temple, about the distance from SMU to Hillsboro.

Current forecast has storm delayed into Thursday morning and mid-day. Predictions of 10 inches of snow in Philly seems possible and Rutgers is 60 miles directly north of Philly in center of storm path. This could be a real mess if the predicted weather pattern continues.

If we can land in NJ before it hits, we should be fine (assuming low turnout though). Guys can always take the train down to Philly.

When that amount of snow falls up there, do sporting events usually get cancelled?

You are correct that they can take Amtrack or a combination of NJ Transit and the Philly transit right into 32d Street Station in Philly as a back up plan. On another thread I questioned whether or not any one knew of their travel plans and if they were coming into and staying in Philly which would have been my choice. With this weather issue they maybe changing plans on the fly and possibly wanting to stay close to Rutgers ( ugggghhhh) instead of traveling the 60/70 miles up from Philly.

Used to live in Piscataway and work there. Once they called off work early due to snow, it was a thunder snow. It came down so fast that it took me three hours to get home, a mile and a quarter.

rarely cancel. if SMU team can show up, I feel they will play even if fans can't make it.

Stash the team a couple extra days in the hotel and have Larry Brown & Co. setup a meet & greet in the lobby with the areas top recruits/ parents/ high school coaches

That's what I was hoping.

BTW, I just read a tweet from Rich that he was at the airport about two hours ago. So, I assume they are on their way to Jersey now. Side note, RP also tweeted that he saw Bill Russell at DFW. That's a huge sports sighting.

Great. They should have no issues getting there. Getting around tomorrow will be a PIA but doable. The good news is that it will most likely keep the home crowd way down. It's not the easiest place to play.
