Dominic Woodson from Memphis is Suspended

Maybe he should transfer to cincy. He would fit in well with Cronin.

Memphis coach Josh Pastner has suspended freshman forward Dominic Woodson indefinitely for using inappropriate language during the No. 20 Tigers' game Wednesday against UCF.

Woodson, a reserve, will not make the Tigers' trip to play Connecticut on Saturday.

Pastner, who does not curse, told Woodson to leave the bench during Memphis' 76-70 win Wednesday, explaining afterward that it was because of Woodson's language.

"You're not going to use it on my bench, so I said, 'See ya,'" Pastner said. "No one is bigger than the program. That's the bottom line."

Woodson, who averages 7.5 minutes per game, already was toeing a thin line with Pastner after being ejected for a Flagrant 2 foul during last week's game against Gonzaga.

I find it hard to believe Pastner never let out a bad word during all his whining and flailing during the game against us.

That foul Woodson committed on the Gonzaga player was Bush league. He should've been suspended for that.

Good for Pastner. This one goes in the plus column. Did anyone see him get involved in that melee against UCF second half. He went charging out there to mid court. Seemed unnecessary to me but he was all fired up on the call. He needs to simmer down on the sideline- that goes into the negative column.

Ditto, he moved up in my book. Principles are much more important than winning! Now what if it were one of his top starters that did this, would the result be the same?

Pastner goes up several notches in my estimation. The reason he was out on the floor in
the UCF game was because he was worried about the health of one of his players. The player \
had just taken a ball off the floor by diving on it and two UCF players actually fouled him trying
to tie him up or take the ball. Pastner was furiously pulling players off the pile to protect his
Memphis player. That puts him up another notch in my estimation I don't think he would have
been out on the floor if he had been fired up by the call.

I am very impressed by that. I curse like most Irishmen, though not as much as true blue Dubs,but I have great respect for those that don't. In a sport where there is a lot of it, I think it's great.

Also, we can have a lot of fun with that.

I cursed at least 25 times in the last 10 minutes of the Cincy game, most as exclamations of joy.
