I couldn't swing $3,000 either. It's completely possible to get sub-$500 tickets though.
This is the only year I'm probably making trips to any site where we play a game. Finances be damned. Future years it'll probably be: season tickets, conference tournament, and then NCAA watching party.

That is incredible how expensive it is. I do think, if push came to shove though, I'd pay whatever it took to witness that event!
(And $300-400 I would gladly pay.)

If we get both Myles Turner and Mudiay, I will buy tickets for the NCG as soon as they are available.

Buying them when they are first released is not the time to do it. For college games you want to wait some time. If you are not a risk adverse person buying at the last minute can get you close to face value as there isn't usually 90k demand for basketball tickets.

I go my FF tix last year through Wichita State. Sat 25 rows up from court and FF and NC games cost me a total of $300.

I definitely plan on trying to "snipe" some tickets this year if/when a big school loses, since it's in Dallas. Easy to do if you're not also planning flights/lodging, but a lot more risky if you are.

Why not ?? Because Jerry world is absolutely the worst place in America to try to watch a basketball game. Waaaay better off at home.
