Our team is young

Our youth and inexperience really showed today. Wasn't an absolutely rowdy atmosphere, but it was pretty loud (louder than Rutgers) and it really threw our kids off guard. Everyone looked hesitant. Ben Moore wasnt his usual reliable self. Sterling disappeared. and Nic, our best player and leader choked. Next year with a year under their belts, we will be a much better road team. Have faith in the Godfather

Our team isn't young. 4 of the starters have been in the system for a year before this season. 2 of our starters are graduate students. Kennedy and Moore should be juniors.
Sloppy play wasn't because we were young.

This is a young team when you rely on contributions nightly from freshman and your two best players couldnt even play competitive basketball the year before...I think we do need to remember who we are and why winning on the road is coming with a lot of growing pains...this is the last time I'll be a sunshiner though..

A year in a system is not very long imo.

they are young in the sense that they are not used to having #23 ranking and a target on their back. we just need to learn to play with the same energy on the road that we have at home...that's where the youth shows

Energy is a general term that let's the team off the hook for bad technique in rebounding etc. We'll get better on road games. We just can't let the crowd and being in an unfamiliar place affect our technique and execution. Bad passes aren't due to lack of energy but they are due to not making good decisions.

im not talking about being in the system.. im talking about getting real game time experience and actually playing in front of opposing fans. playing under pressure comes with time and experience. Ben moore looked lost out there and he usually hits FTs

This team as constituted has 10 road games under their belts. Ten. It shows. It will mprove going forward as our core matures. Getting tough road wins against inferior conference foes is a characteristic of a good team with more experience than we have at this time.
