@franfraschilla: Excited about doing a home game Wednesday: Houston at SMU. Then off to ABQ for MWC game of season, so far: San Diego St. at New Mexico!
Was hoping for Rutgers students....lol

Fran should give us a lot of love on national TV. He's been very complementary of the program recently

Agree. Plus he's a great announcer. Big Monday would be brutal without him. Musburger and Holly Rowe. Gross

On a side note, that SDSU @ UNM game should be damn good. Lobos home games are fun to watch.

Yeah. I wouldn't mind road- tripping with Fran this weekend. I've been to a half dozen games at the pit. Ellenberger...Alford....I love that place.

I've never been there, but it would be a great trip. I'd make that (terrible) drive for an SMU game...

Maybe. I drive everywhere though; grew up doing road trips and still love 'em. Probably the only reason I'm bummed about the new conference. Only Memphis and Houston are reasonable drives now... I may be the only person with a nice thing to say about Tulane and Tulsa coming back onto the schedule next year.

Uncle played for New Mexico. . . But, this was back in the 50's with the Chuck Taylor shoes, hip hugger shorts, and crew cut. . . And probably before the Pit

Got lucky and found a hotel less than a mile from where the police were ordering everyone off the road so they could close it (probably about 100 miles from the nearest tree, much less a town of any size). That drive sucks without the possibility of winter weather. Love road trips, but won't do that one again

Yeah, that would put me off a bit. I'm not a fan of winter weather at any time.

Yeah, that would put me off a bit. I'm not a fan of winter weather at any time.[/quote] I still have no clue where I actually was. Some random hotel in the middle of nowhere next to a convenience store (which was the only option for dinner). I like winter weather if I can stay home and look at it through my window, and it doesn't actually do any damage. Traveling in winter weather is equivalent to attending TCU: you wouldn't wish it on anyone

Hence the 'home game' reference.
