Nice bit of Twitter love tonight

Randomly asked Scot Harrison and Matt McClearin (Birmingham sports radio guys formerly employed by The Ticket) how badly they thought SMU would beat any SEC team at Moody this year.

Got a response back from Matt within minutes: "Severely. Easily. Except Florida."

By the way, these guys bring it big time every day on 94.5 FM in Birmingham. It warms my heart to hear Ticket lingo being dropped on a radio station outside of Dallas. They're also really great guys... I run into them around town fairly regularly and both go out of their way to come over to me and say hello... of course, that might have something to do with the fact that I rarely leave the house (other than work) that I'm not wearing something with an SMU logo on it.

I would love to play Kentucky at Moody. Will not happen (obviously), but it would be amazing.

I've watched Kentucky several times this season. They're loaded with talent but don't play sound, team basketball for 40 minutes. At Moody the Ponies would beat them by 20.

Yep... Slimebaum and his merry band of morons is the reason I don't get to listen to the two guys from Dallas as much anymore. When he decided to come back to WJOX he pretty well forced them to rearrange their entire schedule... which is sad considering he's the worst host in their lineup unless you're a slow talking, mouth breathing yokel.

Love Huntsville. Probably the one part of the state that would be able to keep me without having voices in the back of my head telling me I need to move back to DFW or out to NorCal.

SoCal > NorCal

It's not even close.... Also, they say "hella" up there and it's really REALLY annoying

The south 'burbs are great for raising a family but I don't think I'd enjoy it unless I suddenly stumble upon a few spare million and can buy a place on Greystone Crest. Unless I'm getting a huge, ultra high end place I'm not interested in living in the suburbs (says the single guy in his 30s).

We'll have to agree to disagree. My roommate from SMU lives in Napa (and has been begging me to move out there for years) and I've got several really good friends that live in SF. I almost can't bring myself to get on the plane back to Alabama after a week in Monterrey and Napa.

To each his own. I'm from NoCal but went to college in SocCal. Each has it's own positives and negatives. Of course you can find plenty of people in each area that curse the folks in the other part. Sort of like the Dallas-Houston exchange of insults.

Not much different than the way SoCal folks work "dude" into every sentence.
