What reasons could we give D. J. to choose SMU other than it is close to his home?

Duke has a couple of one and done's next year so their roster will be light when he gets there.

Duke education...but yeah, everything else you said is a no-brainer. Duke kids are like Michigan, they're too smart to be normal. SMU kids are smart but still normal personalities. Much better imo, main reason I chose Miami OH
