SMU vs. the AAC big boys

Postby Hoop Fan » Mon Feb 24, 2014 11:19 pm

We have played six games so far against the other big boys of the AAC: Cincy, Louisville, Uconn and Memphis. 3 at home, 3 on the road. We are 4-2 in those games with an impressive average score in our favor of 70-63, so average point differential of +7. damn impressive, that's getting it done.

Two more to go and I'm actually pretty confident we can at least win one of them... not gonna pick which one though. Louisville is playing really well these days and Memphis in Memphis will be tough.

I wonder what the line will be on the Louisville game? We were 3.5 favorites over Cincy and they'd won 15 straight....

I was thinking the same thing... there's a chance it'll be the first (and only) game we're not favored in at home. But on the other hand, we're getting a lot of points for our home court advantage. We might also get some points because our weekend game home against UCF should be a little less taxing than Louisville's game away at Memphis. The line will probably depend on their performance @Memphis. If they beat Memphis by 10+, I think Louisville will be the first team to come into the new Moody Coliseum as a favorite.

I'm pulling for us both to win and then Okie St to beat Kansas which should put Louisville up to #6 (I don't see any of the other top 5 losing and dropping out of top 5) when they come to Moody and experience the Magic! (or Madness, I think it's Madness). :-)
