If Memphis can beat Louisville and we can beat UCF the game Monday for all intent and purpose would be for a second place tie. Let's beat UCF and hope Memphis beats Louisville.

Just 2 games behind with 3 to play is not just 2 games behind. That's a rather large gap to overcome.

Only way SMU has a chance is if UCONN gets hot and takes down Louisville and Cincy. Then it might get interesting

I realize that. That is why I only am looking at the next 2 games. If Memphis can knock them off that closes the gap enough for SMU to tie them. Thee is an opportunity that exists in the next 2 games. Only if Cincinnati had beaten Louisville we would be in even better shape.

If Louisville loses to Memphis and SMU then we have a tie. Would be good to tie for second or win it.

I'd rather Cincy lose to UConn and Memphis, and then we give Louisville their only remaining loss. That puts SMU in a 2-3 matchup vs. Cincy. At this point I would rather play Cincy than Louisville.
and if we beat Louisville and Louisville loses one more to either Memphis or UConn, SMU can still end up in a 3 way tie for first if Cincy loses two more. Tiebreaker would be combined head to head of tied teams. Assuming all are still tied, the next tie breaker is the best record vs the next team in standings. If Uconn is that team, then we win #1 seed.
this could get very interesting!

I know the chances of what you just laid out playing out are minimal at best (and I did no fact checking of your statements), but that post got me excited.
Beat UCF!

Let's focus on beating UCF, protecting our home court and taking down another top 10 in Louisville and worse case we roll into conference tourney as the 3 seed, which I am good with.
