Do you see any of our guys declaring for the NBA Draft (even if they declare just to test their stock and decide to come back). I thought I remember reading somewhere once where Keith Frazier said he wanted to get to the league as quick as possible. I think it would be all in their best interest to come back next year and make a run, what are your thoughts fellow Mustang Fans?

That would be a mistake. Keith has potential but this years nba draft will be deep.

Kennedy would be the only one that might even think about testing the waters but I don't think so. Frazier is not starting for SMU so why would he even think about the NBA? If everyone's grades are okay then they should stay if not then they so go NBA or overseas. However, when we get the players that do have a chance to go I would say go because it is to much of a chance of injury if they come back.

I don't think anybody on the team is going to be drafted this year. Here is what the experts are saying.
http://nbadraft.net/2014mock_draftIt does show Mudiay at #5 in the 2015 Draft.

sounds like the nba is going to a 2 year rule in the near future. jerry west who is still very influential in the nba wants this to happen. was discussed on pti yesterday.

If they do they should give the high schoolers a chance to declare for the pros and if not they stay 2 years in college like baseball. NBA should also have a farm system for those that can't get into college but have pro potential.

When is it projected? Do it now so we get Mudiay and possibly Turner for 2 years. It will have an impact on recruiting dynamics.

they didn't give any time projection. will take some time to work out imo. jerry says the one and dones are hurting the quality of the nba and shortening the carrers of the established players.
it will happen. just a matter of time.

Probably not until the current CBA expires

If they do it most likely they "grandfather" the freshman class affected by the rule change. It wouldn't be fair otherwise. I like the change though.

Kennedy is the only one that even has a prayer at being drafted and he'd have to put a monster tournament together when the lights are bright. But to answer the question, no chance of anyone leaving early. Nobody is going to stop to go play overseas until their eligibility is exhausted.

Do you think he will be able to make the grades for 4 years?
