Our resume gets us noticed. I agree I like the ticker stuff, but it's a paper number that has nothing to do with how good we are or aren't.

Until 3 weeks ago we hadn't been ranked in almost 30 yrs...some people are enjoying the ride. It's a definite cause for celebration and worthy of anticipation; ur post comes off as insanely myopic and curmudgeonly.

I would rather be ranked than unranked. Especially after a 30 year absence. As fans I think it is okay to enjoy the ride.

Our whole athletic department is based on Top 25 in everything we do.....

The immature teenager in me likes the bragging rights.

The rankings may not be a big deal this late as the tourney is the important thing now. However, rankings do increase our exposure nationally as we finish against two ranked teams. And great exposure helps our seeding. Ratings are important so the better the national interest in the team, the better the consideration by the committee.

For that reason, rankings help us.

Oh, yes!!!

Certainly matters in Arkansas where they only report on the Razorback games, SEC, and top 25. If not ranked we get no love.
