The tiebreaker would fall to best record against the next-highest ranked team, then the next-highest ranked team, etc. So it depends on what order the other teams finish in

Well if it comes down to it, we win against Louisville, then both us and Cinci will have split the series vs. Louisville. Then it is very likely to come down to the series against UConn. Cincy had a split vs. UConn, while SMU swept the series.

If we tie for first with Cincy who holds the tiebreaker?

I cannot see a scenario that we tie with them and only them for first place and do not win the tie breaker. First, for us to tie them and only them we would have beaten Louisville and Memphis, and cincy would have lost to Memphis or Rutgers.

First tie breaker, we split head to head with cincy
Next tie breaker, as has been mentioned, is record vs next team down in the standings.
If Louisville, both would have split so move on to next one
If Memphis, we swept they swept or split so either move on to the next one or we win the tie breaker
If uconn, we swept and they split, we win the tie breaker

In conclusion, if we end up tied head to head with cincy we win.

Same result if we end up tied with Louisville (if we beat them). Since we are unique compared to the other top teams in that we have a couple losses to bottom barrel league teams, we have the advantage over the other top teams in tiebreakers that look to the record vs the next team down in the standings.

To sum up. If we finish tied, we will hold the tie breaker.

Yes, I should have saved everyone's time and said that.

Tie-breakers are decided on "penetrations" - whoever gets the ball inside the other team's 20-yard-line the most wins. I can't think of a better way to decide it.

LOL. You've been watching high school football for a long time if you can recite that rule including the yard line

Pitino wins the tiebreaker.
