The "WE" factor

Heard several Dallas area sports guys on the radio - I think it was on KLIF - talking about SMU basketball sat night. Went pretty in depth. Used "We" constantly - and to my knowledge non of them are SMU grads. I have had several such conversations with Dallas folks from other schools that are using "we" to describe SMU.
I have never had that experience in 25 years following the Mustangs. It is really a nice feeling.

I have noticed many unfamiliar faces at the games this year, not saying I know
all ponyfans, but I do recognize most, it is great to have all the new fans, they
just need to buy some Mustang shirts.

agreed. I've noticed a ton of people I graduated with going to the games. Not sure they had ever been to a game in college...

I had a stranger come up and start talking about - we are really having fun now aren't we?
Turns out he was a Florida grad who has lived in Dallas for a few years and has been coming
to our football and basketball games. He was in love with Moody and kept agreeing with
me that it is only going to get better for US.
