Seems like if we do stop Russ Smith they have other outside shooter and ball handlers like Rozier and Chris Smith that can step in and take up the slack but if Louisville stops Nic Moore we will in more of a predicament. That is why I hope Nic does everything he can not to get in early foul trouble because that would help.

Who are the other guard-heavy teams we have played this year?
Ben Moore's health is going to be really important because he handles the ball well and moves well for a big. I think he is going to be a key player against a smaller lineup.

I disagree that he handles the ball well. He has some great moves around the basket, but when he puts it on the floor it seems like an automatic TO. His dribble looks way too far outside his body.

We have plenty of guys who can pass but few who can dribble. Let's just keep the ball off the floor and moving and wr'll be fine. They are as tough defensively as anybody we play.

You must not have watched many games this year. He was the reason we were able to consistently break the press at the end of the game against Cincy.

UConn's guards are kind of short but Louisville's are taller.

Smusic was in corpus and at the Louisville game, but I am sure you are right that he has not watched many games.

Haha. Nice snark.
Although I trust Smusic on many things, I do think Ben Moore handles the ball well for a big man which is what was originally claimed. I've got less experience watching the team this year than most of the people living in Dallas but I was at the Cincy game and he did an admirable job breaking the press with his dribble even if it didn't look like Basketball 101. Agree he was dribbling a bit high but somehow it worked.

2 games, cool. Ben Moore Handles the ball well. We would not have beat Cincy without his ball handling and help breaking the press.

Ryan Manuel will be huge. He's been playing well and think he has his confidence going. I think it's more about shooting than ball handling. If Nick Russell and/or Keith can heat up that would be nice. If Hancock starts going off, we are in trouble. We HAVE to play strong perimeter D. I think Louisville's guards are better shooters than UConn's.

For the record, smusic attends most every game home and away.
