How much local publicity is there for our game against Louisville? Are you locals seeing much in the way of radio and tv spots, social media, etc?

I was incredibly locked in when the mavs/rangers were making a run. The only way that level is reached/topped for us is if we go to the final 4

I agree with AustinPerson on this one. Now if both teams were in the top 10 or probably top 5, it might be a different story.

This game is big but on a national scale it doesn't register like many Dallas area events - NBA Finals, World Series, Super Bowl, NBA All-Star game, Breeders Cup, the Cotton Bowl every year and several soccer friendlies held at Jerry World.

The more I think about it. Based on ticket sells on the secondary market, I think this is one of the bigger sporting events in the last couple of years, involving a Dallas based team. I would be curious if this game would have sold out the American Airlines Center, I think it would have happened.

Like it or not, a ranked UT/OU match up beats this because it is football. For purposes of this, I'll pick 2008 when OU was #1 and UT was #5. A record 92,000+ attended (this was subsequently broken).
Even when they're not ranked, City Hall circles it on the calendar as one of the single biggest revenue weekends of the year. This game produces $17+ million in local revenue annually.
