I don't think that we are playing Kentucky, UNC, Kansas, or Colorado during the regular season due to Coach Brown saying that he did not want to play former coaches that worked for him. I can respect that.

I have an issue with that. For starters:.after you subtract all former players, coaches etc of LB.....who is left? But also: if he is going to insist that our players play the right way and step up to be a top tier team well then it stands to reason we are going to have to actually PLAY some top tier teams regardless of who coaches them. He needs to move on from that statement.

There are other top tier teams out there.

Indeed there are. But as hard as it is to schedule quality OOC games and considering how many really good teams his "boycott" covers I'd prefer he re- think that for the benefit of the program. This Kentucky thing is a prime example.

As a matter of fact why not have THOSE TEAMS ALL IN THE KENTUCKY TOURNEY. We could call it the Godfather Reunion Tour.

The biggest gripe I have read about our scheduling this year has been a dearth of teams in the 50-150 RPI range. We need to pick it up in that range next year.

Arkansas and NC State are confirmed for next year, correct?

Totally agree with this.
I doubt LB is really gonna stick with that thinking.
We need to stock a strong OOC every year. Not much penalty for losing to great teams, and we need the SOS.
This Kentucky thing would be great.

Some tournaments have announced their 14/15 OOC Tournament schedules (Las Vegas, Maui, Battle for Atlantis, CBE{Kansas City}, 2>Brooklyn{Coaches vs Cancer, Barclays}, HOF Tip Off {Mohegan Sun}. . . And
NO SMU in any of the fields. . . Bummer!

Could we play michigan in chicago? That would be fun.
UT, OU, UNM, SDSU, Baylor are some other teams that would be fun. And yes, a few lay up squads too.
