Early game won't have much affect. Remember, there are more than a dozen bars within crawling distance of the FedEx Forum and you can drink and walk on Beale. The home crowd will be tuned up.

I think if Nic can play at an 80% level and stay out of the type of foul trouble that has him on the bench 10+ minutes in the first half, we are going to be very competitive and maybe even steal this one from Memphis. If he can't, it might be a long day. But I'm glad it's 11am, both for the crowd-damping potential and because I can wake up and get almost immediately to what matters most - SMU Basketball .

We ain't beating Memphis at Memphis. I think we've peaked and are kind of crashing now. And I'm still extremely excited about this season, this program, and next year.

They beat Lou recently. It will show where this team is. We seem to be good in spurts only.

Not sure if you're being serious here.

You probably thought we were crashing after USF and Temple losses, too. I think we would have beat Louisville last night if Nic doesn't get two stupid fouls at the beginning of each half.

Pastner is a great recruiter but the Tigers will be woefully mismatched in terms of Xs and Os against the Godfather. But the formula for beating Memphis is simple: slow the game down and don't let them get a bunch of buckets in transition.
