Dude, you cannot start Kennedy at the three. Basic basketball, come on. He can't dribble 2 steps on the outside without getting his cookies taken the other way. The only big that even has a prayer at starting the 3 is Ben Moore and his ball-handling would have to improve a TON.

Are you kidding me? I love MK but him at the 3 is insane. Go take a poll on Houston compared to Temple

Ben is way more capable at the 3 than MK. Get a clue. Comment on the cheerleaders or something.

Markus Kennedy has better handles than Ben Moore. Ben definitely has potential at the 3 with better ball handlin skills (fingers crossed), but until then I really see Ben at the 4. With all the size that we have lined up over the next 2 years, it is hard seeing Kennedy start at the 4 or 5 over Myles Turner, Elijah Thomas, Tyler Davis, Djery Baptiste, or Yanick Morira.

Markus is really not a 4, too small 6'8" and very agile for his size, good vision, good passer. See Rodney Hood 6'8" or Jabari Parker 6'8" at Duke. MK definitely is not a 5. Given his offensive skills I see him at the 3. A big 3.

I would much rather have Elijah Thomas and Yanick Moriera at the 4 or 5. If we go with a smaller, quicker lineup we could always put Sterling Brown at the 3. LA_Mustang, your cheerleader calendar is in the mail :)

Who would you start at the 3, 4, and 5 in 2014, 2015?

The 3 needs a decent jumpshot beyond 10 feet and some handles. Neither of which I think Markus possesses. And there is no way Markus has better handles than Ben. I've seen too many Markus turnovers when trying to dribble drive. Love Markus' game but it's pretty much plus passing and post moves inside 10 feet.

Folks...seriously!

Watch Moore...he has INSANE handles for a big man!!! That is one of the reasons why Larry usually has him in at the end of the game! Probably still better at the four until he develops a better outside game. But his ball handling skills are spectacular...he could bring the ball up the court!

Broski, outside of nic Moore, my boy Ben has the best handles on the team!

Don't care who we recruit, 34 is a starter next year and beyond.

Markus is a prototypical power forward. Ben Moore is a prototypical small forward. They are ideal for those 2 positions IMHO. I know the game today typically has 3 guards and 2 forwards, but I'm old school. I still would like a big dominant center (who needs to be able to run of course). Elijah Thomas, to me, seems like a power forward (who needs to get in much better shape before he gets here). Myles Turner is a center but it sounds like he'd prefer to face the basket than have his back to it (not too many old school, back to the basket type centers around anymore). Based on the highlights I've seen, Diamond Stone looks more like a "real" center but I don't think we have much of a chance to get him in that 2015 class. I like Baptiste's potential (looks like a grown man in the highlights I've seen).

Get them all and we'll figure it out is what I say! :-)

Do you even know what a 3 is supposed to do? I mean honestly, suggesting MK has the skill set to play the 3 is laughable. His ENTIRE game is, and always has been, to play down low. And the comparison to Hood and Parker is laughable. Those are the exception, not the norm. Most bigs in college that play PF are MK's size.

Comparing MK to Hood and Parker was only done based on size and agility. Duke typically has taller players playing the 4 and 5. Let's be honest here, by no means is MK a center. Maybe a PF. Given a much bigger lineup. Myles Turner, Elijah Thomas, Djery Baptiste, Diamond Stone I would think that MK would be our 3, maybe come off the bench as our 4.

Regardless, couldn't be happier that we are even able to have these discussions. Glad that we have options at the 3, 4, and 5. To think about where our program was and where we are now is beyond comprehension. Could not be happier. Really nice to be able to have a discussion about quality players at SMU.

MK is 6'9" 240. That is a PF. He also has the skill set to play PF not SF.
