20 Game AAC Schedule in 2014-15

according to discussion with Tulane AD reported on AAC board
I hate non-conference games and nobody shows up so I'm fine with it. It also insures we play the UCONNs, Cincy, Temple and Memphis home and home. Very possibly would not have played some of those Eastern teams otherwise

Prefer an 18 game conference schedule, 13 game OOC schedule with an OOC tournament. Think SMU needs to schedule up in the OOC if the conference goes to a 20 game schedule. . . Especially bringing in RPI killers Tulane & East Carolina

I guess he forgot about us. He won't when we get there.

He's a BEAT WRITER...not an AD...his info is not confirmed and I would say with 90% certainty that the AAC will play an 18 game schedule

Who is he in this sentence?

Scott Kushner...he's a Tulane beat writer...it was an "off the cuff" type statement.

The Tulane AD (maybe the beat writer?). I think that is who Stallion was quoting but I could be wrong.

He was not quoting anyone. He was referring to SMU playing all of those teams twice.

Wow! LHS81 is talking a lot of trash on the American board. I don't get that.

Part of the game. . . Does it bother you?

Doesn't bother me but it's it looks kind of silly for a school that has very little bball history to talk trash to traditional powers. Especially when they were being pretty complimentary of us. But to each their own.

it better be 20 games, 18 games makes absolutely zero sense.

Unless they intentionally let the good teams miss two games against the likes of Tulane and ECU.

Gotta love the "I'm SMU we should cower" attitude. . . Sheesh
