We did not fall very far because we lost to 2 ranked teams last week. Even if we lost to Houston we would still be in the top 50 RPI.

RPI is mathematical so it is not a lack of respect, but a lack of savvy scheduling.

You sure about that? I am no expert, but I would think another bad loss would drop us into 50's.

..and there are usually around 15-20 teams that get automatic bids that are ranked below 50.

Beat the crap out of Houston, and get some restful minutes for key guys. I do like that we are a deep team, and that certainly is a huge advantage when playing back to backs.

RPI is more for seeding once the committee figures out the teams that get in it. RPI is only one aspect of many that go into deciding who makes the tournament. You do not leave out the 25th team in the country at he end of the season because they look at more than RPI.

RPI forecast shows us as 60.6 if we lose to Houston. See 23-9 row of RPI Forecast by Final Record section:

I am thinking that would be if the other teams behind us win.

I am so Effing confused! Some have been saying writers and coaches poles don't matter, and it's all about RPI.

Personally, I think they should pick teams based on eye ball test, which would seem to go more closely with votes.

I hope you're right 86.

Now I didn't say RPI did not count at, all just that there are more factors int he decision making process by the committee including the eye ball teat as well as other factors.

Beat the Coogies! I love this team, but if they let the kitties beat us I'm going to be pissed!!

Re-focus and get back with a chip on your shoulders.
