Re: SMU shut out of AAC top honorsNot a big surprise. We have a team with huge depth so we don't rely on just a few players. We spread out the scoring and play team defense. Perhaps next year we have individuals that make this list. But I am happy with our team effort and where it has taken us this year.
Re: SMU shut out of AAC top honorsNic was named first team, MK second team.

Re: SMU shut out of AAC top honorsWhy do you think Larry will get COY when he didn't even get it for our conference? That is the only one that jumps off the page as incorrect if you look at these fairly. No idea how you would pick the little leprechaun over LB based on where their team is vs expectations.

probably politics. Scummy river city school vs. top level metropolis Dallas university.
Re: SMU shut out of AAC top honors
I didn't see that in the first post. Was it added? Anyway, ok, yeah then I definitely amend my previous statement. That is downright criminal that he didn't get COY!
Re: SMU shut out of AAC top honorsI hope a p-I-s-s-e-d off Larry Brown & SMU team kick @$$ at the AAC & NCAA Tournament

Re: SMU shut out of AAC top honors
Yeah they need to get that chip on their shoulder back. "can't win against quality teams on the road", "only beat a few top 100 RPI teams", "only get props because of LB", "definitely over-rated". Great bulletin board material that I've seen tweeted out a few times from a few different people.
Re: SMU shut out of AAC top honorsShould be plenty of material to work with here for motivation. I liked NR interview, he talked about the "chip on the shoulder". I guess they figured SMU was already getting enough exposure. Let's get some more Stangs! Take it to Coog High, then keep rolling!
Re: SMU shut out of AAC top honors
Because of the electorate.
Re: SMU shut out of AAC top honorsI thought SMT claimed it was a no-brainer that LB would be COY.....
SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four
2014-15 & 2016-17 AAC Men's Basketball Champs
Re: SMU shut out of AAC top honorsruss smith>napier
Re: SMU shut out of AAC top honors
Yeah, I tend to agree. But Kilpatrick is better than all of them, although he IS about 30 years old. ![]()
Re: SMU shut out of AAC top honors
Suppose you could have done a 3-way with Smith, Napier, and Kilpatrick. But, I guess they don't like doing that. . . I dunno! I guess I just have 3-way on my mind ![]() 2015 INDIANAPOLIS OR BUST
