We lost our last three games and we are still an at large bid. How far we have come. Thank you, LB

I am having withdrawals. I went back to work and tried not to think about it. I was so looking forward to taking time off and watching game after game this week/weekend. I will probably get back my interest once most tourneys are in Semis and Finals, cuz by then we will be joined on the couch by others. This stings, but hey, in basketball we Mavs fans always have memories of the 2011 Finals to consul us.

After sleeping over the results of yesterday's game, my theory is that Nic Moore's ankle is still bad and possible getting worse. At his level of play, anything that messes with muscle memory can be the difference between shooting 6 for 9 and 0 for 9.

Look at what for most of us would be a minor annoyance can do to the scores of a Tiger Woods or Phil Michelson.

Someone posted on the board yesterday and said that Nic Moore's ankle is completely fine...idk who said it though.

Smusic posted it and said it was from the most reliable source there could be. The fact that he was sitting behind the bench at the Memphis game leads me to believe he could definitely have gotten some direct confirmation.

Just an note, I don't think it is Nic's ankle. I think teams are just realizing that if you shut down Nic Moore we have no offense to speak of. Below is link comparing Nic at Illanois State and his year at SMU. Also look at the full game log....

It is interesting that in both Louisville games Nic was held to five points...Pitino may be a pain in the a** but he is not stupid.

Guido Pitino is a little annoying, a little bit slimy in basketball, a lot slimy in his personal life and a really really good basketball coach.

Nic is the only guy on the team who can dribble penetrate. You deny him that and deny the pass inside, and we struggle. Russell, Brown, Frasier can usually spot shoot (couldn't hit anything yesterday), but can't create their own shot.

IMHO the only way to spark the offense in those situations is to work the ball enough to get Russell, Brown, or Manuel on the wings and just ask them to drive and draw a foul. That is what we miss when Manuel doesn't play much - he has the driving ability to take the ball to the hoop aggressively.
