He was just interviewed with Russ Smith at half time of Michigan - Michigan State game and called SMU the "ugliest" environment he has ever coached in.

He didn't say it was the ugliest ever, just emphasized how ugly/nasty it was at Moody in the same breath as beating UC at home. All in response to whether UofL deserves a #1 seed. Good to be known as a tough place to play. Maybe the committee keeps SMU's toughness in mind when seeding.

The exact quote was: "went into SMU , maybe the ugliest environment I've seen as a coach"

He might be trying to help us in a offbeat kind of way. I am sure some of not all of the selection committee is watching the game and heard the comment.

Rick Pitino on CBS talking seeding: "We went into #SMU, maybe the ugliest environment I've seen as a coach, and came away with a victory"

I'm wrong. Nice to get national pub even if it's for the environment and not the team like UC where he mentioned their win streak. The same was true at Moody -- only loss to them.

I think UofL deserves a 1 seed. Great work down the stretch.
