To all the flamers that were relentless against me when I said we were not a tournament team and could very well be shutout, I forgive you.

We did not deserve to be in, you are mid 50s RPI with our SOS and lose to Houston in the conference tourney, that has NIT written all over it.

Now we are where we belong, let's go win the NIT.

No one listened when I called to fire June 4 years ago, no one listened when I said we would miss the tourney.....Just sayin....

Go Ponies!!!! Win the NIT!!!!!!!!!!

We're No. 69! We're No. 69!

This team thought it was IN two weeks ago -- and it showed.

I thought that SMU was in, and at worst would get one of the play-in games. No doubt the loss to UH hurt.

That being said, there is no reason SMU can't go deep into the NIT, if not win the whole thing. It's like a bowl game for football...you get to keep practicing and keep playing which pays big dividends going forward.

I am a fan of both Baylor and SMU and BU has been to the NIT twice in the last 5 years, going to the finals once and winning it last year. SMU has the type of team that can do the same thing. Even better, it led to NCAA appearances the following year for BU. Hopefully it will work the same way for the Mustangs.

Just because we are not in the tournament does not mean we should not be. BYU? Nebraska?

This is definitely not a good thread to start. Almost like pouring salt in a wound.

Yeah, but was Baylor expecting the NCAA bid like SMU?
