SMU is first ranked team since Utah State in 2004 not to make the tourney. Surprised but not shocked.

With our RPI and our SOS schedule and our first round loss to a 150 rpi team in the tournament, did we deserve it?

Believe me, it sucks we did not make it, but honestly, who made it ahead of us that deserved it less than us?

Everyone that snuck in ahead of us had a better resume. I was hoping Larry's rep and good story line would out trump our limp to the finish and our sorry SOS, but it was not to be.

Larry's presser is good. Our conference was disrespected by the clowns at the NCAA.

I'm sorry, you cannot sit here and with a straight face tell me Nebraska should be in the Tournament, but not SMU or Green Bay.

You mean by othe conference members that were on the committee.

Committee Members:LSU (and former Duke) AD Joe Alleva,Utah State AD Scott Barnes,Oklahoma AD Joe Castiglione,Big Sky Conference commissioner Doug Fullerton,Michigan State AD Mark Hollis,Conference USA associate commissioner Judy MacLeod, Delaware AD Bernard MuirWest Coast Conference commissioner Jamie Zaninovich.Wake Forest AD Ron Wellman - ChairmanGeorgia Tech athletic director Mike BobinskiTwo Acc members, including the chairman. Nobody from the AAC. I'm sure the CUSA chairman is not a fan of SMU or Memphis.

Can you lose to South Florida, Temple and Houston while having a really sorry SOS and mid 50s rpi and get an at large bid?

Apparently you cannot.

The problem with those losses are that they are awful losses, not bad losses. RPI 150+ losses are killer and they had 3. Either way, it's some BS because the eye test says they're for sure a tourney team and have the wins to prove it, but they took too many nights off apparently for the committee. Just blows all the way around.
