I'm liking this now. Our strongest asset this season was our home court advantage and we get to use that in this tourney. A lot of lesser teams than us that we can mow through. Semi-finals look very reachable.

At the start of this year I would have given you 100 dollars to get into the NIT.

WHAT A GREAT SEASON WE HAD. Did we end on a huge down note. YES.

LB coached a group of guys WAY UP.

Next year will be even better.

For the next couple weeks.... kick the beeegeebers out of every one we play.

Thanks LB, Jank and staff.

Sure wish JJ would recruit like LB and Jank. We would be KILLING AAC competition.

Aloha

FYI, below is a comment from the Memphis newspaper board that typical of what is being said, that SMU and the American got hosed.

"Virginia lost by 35 to a NIT team (per Coach K). Had Martin not pulled the starters as soon as he did, it would have been much worse. UVA is the worst #1 seed in years. UVA is a plodding team, somewhat similar to the St Louis team you played a few years back.

SMU really did get shafted. Coach K said that NC State should be in the tourney (they had no right) and he figured that UT was team 68 so he threw us under the bus. Turns out SMU was team 68 and to make room for Coach K's recommendation, SMU became team 69."

We must crush everyone and win the NIT or everyone will see our snub as justified

Especially the NCAA Men's BB tournament selection committee, or maybe that's invitation only
without regard to athletic abililty tournament selection
committee.

Baylor won it last year and got a lot of resect for it this year. We got screwed to be sure but now is the chance to play for our seniors and get more attention for next year.

Even if we win the whole thing, won't really matter. The only good news is that we get another game or 2 at Moody.

heh, funny but true, if you asked me, I would have said Baylor was in the Big Dance, prob went out early.

Had no idea they won the NIT...but they knew it and their fans knew it. Also, early February, they were dead, then they turned it on and made a great run.

Maybe the NIT helped them with that.
