The NIT avoids playing when the NCAA Tournament is broadcast. So, if the 1st game is Wednesday. The following game would be starting anytime Monday after the weekend games if the NCAA Tournament.

OK somebody clear this up. I'm pretty sure in past years the NIT reseeded after every game and didn't always award home games to highest seeded team. Is that still the case

First, Second and Quarterfinal Rounds
The first three rounds of the NIT are hosted at the campus site of one of the participating teams. For each game, the higher-seeded team will have the first option host unless logistical circumstances preclude such an opportunity. First-round games will be played March 18 and 19. Second-round games can be played March 20-24 and quarterfinal games will be played March 25 and 26.

When they talked to Steve Lavin, the St John's coach they said as a No. 1 seed you will play every game in NYC even if you make it to the finals. And another team they talked about I believe it was Fla State they said you get 3 at home because of the No. 1 seed. I just read somewhere that we are the No. 1 overall seed in NIT. (Should be!). Finally some good news...

Good-looks like they started seeding 2006 as part of settlement of lawsuit with NCAA. I just remember in past you never knew who the hell you'd play after each win or where. This is a great opportunity to force some big time schools like LSU and Arkansas to play us in Moody

The NIT will sneak in a second round game at noon Eastern on Saturday but if SMU advances, expect the next game to be either Sunday night or Monday.

If we host San Fran in the second round it would be funny to hear what uche thinks of the change in atmosphere, assuming he gets to travel since he is sitting out.

Like I said earlier. The NIT won't schedule games going against the NCAA Tournament. Most of the NIT games are shown on the ESPN Networks. If the time frame for the 2nd game is from 3/20 thru 3/25. . . Look for the 2nd game to be on Monday 3/24 or Tuesday 3/25 would be my guess

So I am supposed to be out of town this weekend. I won't go if we are playing though. Anybody know *for sure* that we wouldn't play a Saturday or Sunday game?
