I was just about to post this. So basically if TCU would have won a single game in their conference we would have been in front of NC State.
Of course, a lot of teams (including us most prominently) could have won a game and put is ahead of them, I just felt like making a shot at TCU.

A tweet from Tim MacMahon, made me chuckle
â€@espn_macmahon
As soon as Tony Romo, Jason Garrett and Jerry Jones adopted SMU, I had a feeling the Mustangs wouldn't make the playoffs.

Yeah - Rich Phillips blamed Jones directly earlier tonight on ch. 4 or 5 -- can't recall which it was.

Or put it another way, had we beat the worse team in the AAC, Temple, twice, we would be in the Dance. Or Beat Houston last Thursday, we make it with ease.
I hate the committee's decision and don't agree with it. But I believe LB is right, we only have ourselves to blame.
We are dominating Louisville at home and find a way to lose composure and get beat. We didn't play well at Memphis. We had a horrible game against USF. We could have beat any of these teams and some with ease had we just taken care of business.
This is differently a learning experience for the players. They don't play like they have been there before cause they haven't. Now, they have. Learn from it.

Ponyte, I honestly don't think that would have made that much of a difference. I think that we would have had to make the final game of the tournament to get the invite. The way that the committee viewed the whole AAC leads me to believe that they were only going to take 4 teams. The seeding of UL at 4 is pretty much indefensible, not to mention putting three of four teams in the same bracket. That showed me a ton about how the committee feels about the AAC.
