I know SMU getting snubbed is a story, but lost in all of this that Louisville was ONLY a frigging 4 seed?....Ranked in the Top 6 or 7 in the country and they only get a 4 seed and literally drummed everyone they played in the last 3 or 4 games?...now THAT is also a huge travesty. I hope Louisville and ALL of the AAC teams beat the [deleted] out of the NCAA teams...

Yes PonyScott, the AAC got screwed all the way around.
1. SMU out
2.Louisville a 4 seed
3. UConn and Cincy and Memphis crammed into same region so neither can make a long run without taking each other out.
A TOTAL AAC SCREW JOB.
Louisville will repeat, they are hottest team going.

I'm officially desperate to get out of this conference I guess. The bias is so obvious it's sickening, could be a long, long, long road to the top if the AAC is gonna be treated like that, and if we are stuck there.

AAC definitely got hosed badly. The conference should protest this BS

The conference as a whole got screwed. How does the Atlantic 10 get 6 teams in and AAC only 4?

I think the 3 teams in one region is worse than the Louisville snub. Both and our snub too are terrible.

I am interested to try and find out how common it is to put 3 teams from one conference in one region when the conference only has 4 teams in the tournament. I think it is pretty rare.
It is obvious they disrespected the conference, but it almost feels like they almost forgot about the conference the way they seeded the teams. Maybe they thought cincy and uconn were in the big east and Memphis was in c-USA so it was not on their radar screen that they put 3 teams in one region.

You may be onto something. Maybe they didn't even know that the AAC exists. That would explain a lot.

Honestly, that would not surprise me one bit.
I'm even more upset this morning than I was last night the more I think about everything.

Hopefully next year the AAC gets someone on the committee. As long as ESPN has the tv contract the AAC will remain relevant. Next year I'm sure our SOS will rise because we can count on more conference games upping our win total so we can schedule harder next year in the non conference. I am much happier playing in a 4+ bid league and playing on ESPN than the 1 bid CUSA.

It seems like, in the end, being from the AAC was kind of a poison pill. We all have heard enough about OOC wins, strength of schedule, etc.
But consider this: The disrespect shown Louisville, Cincinnati, Memphis and UCONN also trickled down to us.
Those amounted to pretty much all of our quality wins and the committee dissed every one of them. It all boils down to a total middle finger to the AAC.
There has to be a concerted effort to change that. AD's, SID's, Alumni Associations, Coaches, students….even ESPN! I'm actually as mad about the whole deal as I am about SMU being "THAT TEAM."
I hope that the conference goes damn near undefeated in postseason play and the only eliminations are from other tens in our conference. As for us: I want to see my Mustangs play at the Garden!
