After a night of sleep, this hurts worse. After the Texas Rangers world series, missing the tourny, countless football blunders...

It does feel bad but we did get respect from the NIT. It doesn't make up for the snub but does show others though well of this team
We do have post season play extended and we do get to play on ESPN and we do get more home games. IT's not the Dance but it isn't the DP either.

Oh, and by the way, the NCAA owns the NiT.

i thought i had felt every emotion possible regardig smu sports. this is a new one. disappointing doesn't begin to describe it. must be how the wrongly convicted feel.
i love lb and the team but i cannot bring myself to follow the nit. feels very wrong to me. would rather just have it end.

Don't abandon ship now. Doesn't matter how it "feels" - we've got a game to play.

We do need to sell out Moody for all three games. Support the team and Larry, as it will show it negatively at least in recruiting if we don't.

I really didn't sleep. My mind just raced all night despite the Anchor Steam California Lagers and the Toro de Lydia Extra Anejo. I have to re-wire my head to think that I may get to see my team TWICE at Madison Square Garden. I feel like a Cubs fan today. Maybe worse.

I understand what you are saying and I will be at the game +1 but I don't think the NIT will affect recruiting. The recruits will be watching the big dance imo.

I felt almost the same.

It still hurts like hell. Of course, no one should ever want to go to the NIT over being a last in team to the tourney but I'm choosing to look at this way, at least we get to see this team play a few more games at Moody. If we can make a run, we'll get a trip to NYC and get to see our Ponies play at MSG.

It is nice to be a 1 seed but it had nothing to do with respect. The NIT always makes the last four out the 1 seeds in their tourney, assuming the school accepts to invitation. I think it's pretty rare but schools do refuse sometimes.

i'll just say this...the last time this team made the big dance was 4 months before I was born in '93. I started going to games the following season and have every season since. I thought this was finally the year, so I am extremely disappointed that we didn't make it. But, I can wait one more year. and it'll be awesome. until then, i'll feel alright with an NIT championship. let's get excited and rally behind the 'stangs.

I was so exhausted by the St. Patrick's day activities in Dallas I shrugged off the snub yesterday ... Now that I'm fully rested this hurts. I feel like I've been dumped by a girl.

Yep... I'm more ticked off now than I was when I saw it last night.
