It's just not right

I have to rant one last time. I got little to no sleep last night. I haven't felt this way since David Freese lined a triple off the right field wall in the World Series.

Everyone in the county believes we should have been in with no questions asked except those 10 clowns in an office building. I am willing to bet that not one saw a single game of ours. They only look at stats/numbers/standings.

1. Was taking a 1 seed UVA to the buzzer not enough?
2. Was sweeping a UCONN team that beat the number 1 overall team not enough?
3. Was trouncing Memphis by 15 and a top 10 Cincy by 21 not enough? And don't forget they were on a 15 game winning streak at the time and were the "hottest team in the country".
4. Was beating a Rhode Island team by 31 not enough? They beat LSU and lost to tourney teams St Louis and St Joes (twice) by a combined 8 points. And they also crushed Dayton who is also in the tourney.
5. Did they realize we didn't have ONE single home game until Jan. 8th against UCONN?

Fact of the matter is, the clowns don't take stuff like this into effect. We were spoon fed confidence by writers and broadcasters who actually know basketball. "The best story of the year". "The biggest surprise team in the country". "This team can we a championship." The folks that watch every game should be the ones deciding who is in and out. D!ck Vitale, Joe Lunardi, Andy Katz, Jay Bilas, etc. And the same goes for the college football playoff….that will be a mess.

Rant over, sorry. No one wants to read this probably. I'll see y'all at the NIT games. Lets kick everyone in the teeth with a vengeance.

Great rant. I've been fuming since the selection. Agree with almost everything you said except I wasn't upset about Freese coming up clutch. Go birds

I too am disappointed. I agree we should be in. I agree the AAC was screwed in general. I can't for the life of me understand 6 Atlantic 10 teams. Over half the conference that isn't even a power conference!

That said, we win the games we should win and it’s not up to a group of biased individuals. They used SOS as a major excuse. One can't tell me the 'eye' test between SMU and NCSU was even close! And it sure wasn't close enough to justify picking NCSU because the RPI was ten thousand of a point difference.

It just plain sucks. But now is the time to move on and prepare to crush UCI. Play like a #1 seed and get to NYC.

the fact that our BPI was 33 and NC ST was 68 or something baffles me. Is this real life?

Stephen A, Smith just gave SMU some kind words this morning as he said what we have been saying regarding us not making the tournament.
