SMU was #23 in USA poll and #25 in AP and after sweeping UConn, beating Memphis and Cincy and was passed on by the NCAA Committee in a 68 Big Dance Field? This smells big time of a Payola somewhere to someone...Just sayin.

Can we investigate them for once? Wouldn't surprise me at all if someone's pockets got lined here. The whole thing is that ridiculous. There's a lot of big money in college athletics.

Of course it was payola, and they didn't try to hide it. The chair of the committee is the Wake Forrest AD, and his school gets a cut of the NC State money. The ACC also was the only conference with two members on the selection committee.

Not many "associations" as corrupt as the NCAA...the NTTA comes to mind. Anybody that owns a toll tag can attest to that.

ACC is the biggest culprit here. Looks like gutting and demolishing the Big East wasn't enough so they had to find a way to further push down on the American Athletic Conference.

When is it EVER not about money? Of course, folks got paid. What do we need to do to get AAC representation on the selection committee? You'd think all conferences would require repping.
