Let SMU have all the national attention. Let SMU also feel the pressure from expectations of being the favorite to winning the NIT.

SMU on average holds their opponents to under 63 points and UCI to under 64 points. So we're looking at a defensive battle which plays into our wheelhouse.

Irvine fan here.
I am not sure of the emotions of either team, but they should play a large roll.

May be a defensive struggle since Pomeroy rates SMU as the 12th best defense in the US and Irvine as the 26th.

We don't understand the 8 th seed in the bracket given our RPI and other ratings, but assume ESPN sees a story line with your shaft by the NCAA Committee + Larry and our 7'' 6" center. 9 point dogs seems about right.

While living in LA, I saw several UCI games on TV. You guys always seemed to have a tough, scrappy team.

I've got a couple of friends who went to Irvine. It's nice down there, but the only time we would make it to OC was to go to Huntington to the dog friendly beach, and to see the Stars or Rangers play Anahiem.

Ducks are pretty good this year. When Going to beaches you should have come a little further south to Newport.

We have a lot more talent and size this year than usual, but very young. Both Freshman starters on the Draft Express top 75 Frosh NBA draft watch list which is rare for us. Expect next year to be much improved. Looking forward to a good game, just show us a little southern hospitality.

I'd say you have size with three 7(+) footers .

Let me get this straight: rather than spending time with your family, doing some work, pursuing some sort of self-improvement, going to the gym, taking a nap, or any other sort of hobby or form of relaxation, you chose to spend your time looking for and reading a UC-Irvine message board?

Seems relevant to me. And what do you care if he's spanking it or not while posting?

I hope we score 120 points on these guys just so that uninformed turd will feel like a clown. Pressure? we fell pressure to win the NIT? Is that a mother [deleted] joke???

I'm still in an awful pissed off mood in case no one can tell....

I fully expect our team to come out and put a beat down on UCI just like we did to UConn, Cincinnati, Memphis and most of the other teams that experienced the "Moody Magic" this season!
