Not much original content in this column by Barry Horn, but nice to see that SMU is the only school in Texas that kept blue chippers in state this year and next.

Same reason you see prime football talent at other states head south towards the SEC and Texas schools - you want to go to the Mecca of your college sports. And while there is the chance of a Billy Donavon-type stretch at UT, the state of Texas will be a football state first in the foreseeable future.

The Ticket was also discussing how the AAU is destroying the development of players. Also mentioned how it's a business.
