Over the last day or so I have heard a good amount of people saying that they would rather not go to the game tomorrow. I hope it is just all talk and I am wrong, but there is no denying that there is a significantly less amount of buzz on campus right now. I know all the students that read this board are dedicated fans like myself, but make sure that you reach out the next 24 hours to your fraternities, clubs, whatever and make sure the students that jumped on the bandwagon this year stay on it. Its a slap across the face to the players and coaches if we cant fill up the student section for a Wednesday night game. Plus, it portrays our student body very negatively.
To put it in perspective, my sophomore year we were excited that we made a run in the CBI, we have undoubtedly come a long way since then, but have zero right to be basketball snobs and turn our backs on a HOME NIT game. This has obviously been a great season, but losing at home tomorrow to UCI in front of a lethargic student section would put a very sour note on this season.
Ill see you all tomorrow, Barley house beforehand for the pregame.

I'll be there Fresno, but I too am concerned about the student and overall fan attendance. Normally the university sends us all an email when the student allotment has sold out, and here we are 1 day before the game still no email. Starting to get worried.

My row of season ticket holders (7 of us) all bought 200 level tickets. The boys deserve a crowd like memphis/uconn.

M buddy forwarded me that email
SMU Students are eligible to purchase tickets at a discounted rate of $5 at the SMU Ticket Office for the NIT and WNIT games.
The number of tickets available to students is not limited as during the regular season. Students are eligible to purchase a discounted ticket with a valid SMU while supplies last.

I've been hitting up everyone I know to go to this game. The few students I know are in the MOB and told me they will be there. I'm more worried about the other sections filling up. Anyone have an update on tickets sold as of today? I saw 4000 get thrown around earlier.

Hopefully more student excitement will pick up later today and tomorrow leading up to the game. VERY disappointed we didn't make the Big Dance but we also haven't been to the NIT in 14 years so this is a great opportunity to showcase the program on national TV.
Trust me- when I was at SMU we were almost NEVER on ESPN2. Get the students out there tomorrow night.

No reason for the students to not attend any of the home NIT games we might play in. Very few would have been going to any NCAA tourney games and this is a great chance to watch the best SMU team in 30+ years several more times at the best facility in this part of the country.

Someone have LB or Hart go to all the fraternities and sororities and ask them to attend. We need to support these guys and make a statement.
