Mike Aresco will join Norm to discuss the committee's treatment of our conference. This should be very interesting. I trust Norm will ask why we had no representation.

Agreed. I have been waiting for him to say something publicly. Good work by Norm to get him on here, shows how interested he is in the SMU story.

The story is still out there at least on local Dallas radio. Ian Fitzsimmons railed on the decision today -- and had a ton to say about Moody Magic this year and what an unbelievable year we've had and future we have.

Norm is definitely leading the way on this story and doing a great job of it.
Ben and Skin talked about it yesterday. I was unhappy with the tone of their segment and tweeted Ben. Here is his responses:
@BenRogers: @mickmcg21 sorry you feel that way. We did the segment 2x. Not sure which u heard but I don't dismiss what they did. Insanely good season
@BenRogers: @mickmcg21 but no one to blame but themselves for losing in 1st rnd of own tourney. Plus non conf strength of schedule was bad. Future very
@BenRogers: @mickmcg21 bright, and they did get jobbed, but can only blame themselves. Next year they will be even better. But rough finish this year

And it has been out there on a national scale over the past 2 days. If anybody didn't know who we are they do now.

took the high road about the committee, but is now defending the conference really well.

He started off shaky but stepped it up at the end.

Agreed. He really turned it around when he started talking about Temple. Took Texas to OT and should have won, beat St Joes, etc. Said poor SOS for our conference is ludicrous

-Extremely disappointed with committee. Utah St not in conf strong as ours - last ranked team not in
-SMU passed most tests with flying colors
-Teams in that lost to UVA by 30 pts
-At Arkansas who beat UK twice
-Beat Wyoming at WY
-Late losses were vs 2 best teams in country
-AAC did not have representation because of newness, should in the future
-Everyone tries to be fair - statistics can be used in any way
-Very strong conference 8 of 18 games vs top 25
-Temple lost to TX by one & beat St Johns
-USF didnt play to potential
-UCF beat Miami
=Conference stacks up to any
Top half of conference are all hoops powers, how possibly overlooked?
-not a group of startups
-4+ tournament teams going into season
-Top players, top teams year after year
-SMU only added to clout
-defending nat champ
-great brands & established itself instantly. Doesnt understand how overlooked
-Respect decisions, but other teams didnt have SMU resume
-Have to earn respect, thinks we did
-Need to build the brand for football, but basketball very well established
-Great games in conf tourney - a lot of close matchups
-Lou
-Great TV package - ESPN family / CBS - tremendous coverage
-Intense conference, somewhat top heavy, hard not to be with this many good teams
-Is national reaction to seeding & SMU snub good for future?
-Hopes it does - silver lining: incredible national coverage as a result - AAC becoming recognizable
-Almost all coverage favorable
-SMU improving Conf w Dallas market
-SMU will fill a lot of Lou void
-Temple will bounce back
-Tulsa coming in
-USF on rise - new AD
-Houston on cuff
-Will still be a power hoops conf
-Fiesta bowl win good for football side
-
