Tonight!

We see what kind of team we have tonight. As LB has said, they have not responded to adversity well this year, at least in spurts and lately. This is the biggest challenge of the year for them. We've already seen a #1 seed bounced out in the first round of the NIT last night. Sounds like it is going to be a good crowd, I was worried about this at first, but I think the fans have responded. Hopefully the students are rowdy as usual.

As an ex-coach who has won several state championships, I always told my players we learn more about ourselves when we lose and face difficult challenges, than we do when we win. I will be there cheering as loud as usual, this is a big moment in SMU bball. Let's go Stangs! Rise to the occasion!

I've moved through the seven stages of grief to acceptance. Looking forward to tonight. Hopefully the team grows through this and has a major chip on their shoulder - this could be the perfect wakeup call for next year.

Go ponies.

Last big challenge of the year Stangs! Minnesota will be a solid opponent, like the others we've faced in the NIT thus far. We got to play five more quality opponents and you did what LB asked of you, finish the right way, respond to adversity with intensity and enthusiasm.

This team has grown so much over the course of this year and I think the NIT was an additional step in growth. I and the rest of the Mustang Nation will be watching this game, yelling, cheering, and celebrating for our seniors and the way they finished the season. You responded and we can clearly see what kind of team we have - one with character!

Whatever happens tonight, thanks for a great season, and thanks for making us proud of you. You have truly infused a winning attitude in the SMU fanbase. Good luck tonight and go get em!

Pony Up!

Agree the team has 'grown up' some thanks to this experience. We will have played 5 solid and well coached teams thanks to the NIT under pressure circumstances (loser goes home). All will contribute to this team’s growth. And an NIT championship would be one Hades of a reward for this team’s hard work, effort and success.

I have grown up too. No longer start to weep when we are 10 or 13 points down early in the second half. Rather I have grown to know we have them where we want them.

I will be watching and hoping we win. But regardless of the outcome, I am so proud of this team and what they have accomplished this year! Win or lose, it's been a fantastic ride!

GO PONIES!

I'm down with hanging an NIT Champs banner in the rafters. Nail it like a two dollar hooker tonight.
