Biggest miss tonight?

Postby ponyboy » Wed Mar 19, 2014 11:12 pm

Why was "I'm Coming Home" played in the middle of the second half? You could see the players respond. Why was it not the intro as per usual?

Don't know why they played the other video. I understand they can't do the lights but that video tonight was boring and about five times as long as it needed to be.

Agreed. They should have just done the regular video with no lights

Per the DMN

NIT rules prohibited some of its usual game presentation elements

So why not show the video after a second half time out?

also worth noting they only had a couple days to prepare all the videos w/ the new rules. They will have more time before Monday night's game. Should be fun

That song they paired with the new intro video was not good. Probably the only misstep this season from the new in-house media people.

I believe SMU SID said the "I'm Coming Home" video didn't work properly w/o the "intelligent" lighting that was prohibited. I couldn't tell you why, but that's what he said.

ATTENTION PONYFANS - Please bring your "A" game with cheers and chants tonight as NIT rules prohibit some of our usual game presentation elements.

We can't turn off the lights for intros, no on-court promotions, no giveaways or t-shirt tosses, no halftime acts and more "neutral" music.

I thought you were going to say the 3 pointer UIC shot at the end of the first half.

The NIT rules are insane. They shouldn't play at campus sites if we have to pretend that we aren't the home team
