ESPN giving this game some good pub. Calling it two power conference teams facing off. Adrian Branch saying that we were snubbed.

there are a lot of high profile programs remaining in NIT. This is going to be a tough road

Just out of curiosity, (for whoever voted no) what game do you think would be a bigger profile?

Adrian Branch is awesome. I never saw him before this season, but he's fantastic on TV.

well you got
Florida St
Georgia
Minnesota
Illinois
Arkansas
SMU
LSU
California -did they win
Georgetown
Missouri
Clemson
good Southern Miss and Louisiana Tech teams

Most of those programs have at least a higher traditional profile than SMU. Seems like in past NITs some sleepers were successful but most of the remaining teams have pedigree

Do you think Florida St vs Georgetown or Clemson vs Illinois is more high profile than SMU vs LSU?

Those other games are definitely marquee matchups. I am just glad that SMU LSU is on Monday night when no NCAA tournament games are going on. Could get a decent national television audience.

This one has a good argument, but I think the recent national press due to SMU's "snub" may push our game over it. We'll be the "story" of the NIT (if it has one) if we can keep winning.

Just thought it would be good discussion since this is a message board.
