The Coach K Offensive

Postby Duke Blue Blood » Fri Mar 21, 2014 11:28 pm

Is this a Carolina board? I have never seen such venom for a guy that has added so much to the game and to our country.

Are you pissed he made public comments about the strength of his conference? Well, ANY coach would do that, including Larry. That is what coaches do. They stick up for their conference and claim that there is no finer, are you really faulting him for that?

He served our country as a graduate of the USMA '69. Not sure if you know your history, but there was a not so popular war going on then and he served. Then, many years later, he answered the call for his country yet again (granted for a lesser cause) to the detriment of the Duke program, serving as a coach of Team USA. He restored USA Basketball to their rightful place in World basketball.

How about raising millions for Cancer for the Jimmy V Foundation. Are you really going to challenge that?

I don't have time to finish all that he has brought to the college game, but show some damn respect. As fans of basketball, you should at least give him his due respect, even if you are envious of his success.

please. he doesn't walk on water. He is a basketball coach. He has been around long enough to know that his lobbying for one team would cost another. That other was us. So we are pissed. We have that right - and we are happy he lost early. Looking forward to the time when we can beat his team ourselves.

Let us know when he rescues some little kitten from a tree or cures cancer.

Did you just now discover that Coach K is a polarizing figure? Whether you are right or wrong, this post is as pointless as the weirdly obsessive anti-Duke posts you're attacking.

Plus, who cares about Coach K right now? He won't be coaching again for months...

Don't really care. I don't like Duke and don't like rat face. He can suck lemons for all I care.

you seem to forget that coach K is a hero. He invented basketball, the internet, apple pie, and saves lives every day through the teaching of the game. All very lofty stuff.

How stupid are you? Do you really think he purposely tried to prevent SMU from being in the Tournament? If you do, I have another forum you should check out, it is called "Bush flew the planes into the twin towers".

I don't blame coach K for defending his conference but you can't expect him not to get backlash from the fans of one of the teams that got shafted due to shameless politics. Get some perceptive behind these blue colored glasses. I don't recall coach brown or pitino doing what he did and they have earned that damn respect as well.

I have to admit I smiled when I found out they lost. Still doesn't take away the bitter pill we were all left with by his ACC cronies. Most of us now want the ACC teams to crash and burn.
