LSU fans bought 1000 tickets

Postby friarwolf » Mon Mar 24, 2014 10:51 am

That's the word I got. We need to get there early, spread out and save seats, and make sure LSU fans can't congregate in one area. We need their fans to be widely spread throughout the arena............

going to call BS on this one, LSU doesn't care enough about basketball. #1 is football, #2 SEC football, #3 corndogs, #4 baseball, and like #25 is basketball.

my guess is around 400

I could see 1000. Their DFW Alumni association is probably their 2nd largest "chapter" outside of Louisiana

I was expecting 400-500 myself, but LSU sends a ton of graduates to Dallas/Ft Worth area. I don't know where that count comes from but I could see it as possible. I know Jordan Mickey said a ton of friends and family were going to go so if you include them plus the fact that so many alums move there it's possible.

I wouldn't be surprised. I know from past experience Arkansas could readily come up with 4-5,000 fans if tickets were available

How can you tell if LSU fans bought 1000 tickets?
If they did, good, first good showing from an away fan base that will experience the terror that is Moody.

I said earlier that I would expect between 500-1500 LSU fans for tonight's game so that number seems right to me. but if there are only 1k LSU fans there will be 6500 SMU fans, including the entire lower bowl and 700+ students. We will easily dominate the noise and atmosphere of Moody tonight. Get there early, be loud, and be looking forward to all the trash we will get to talk to the LSU fans in attendance. Pony Up!

IF there are 1000 LSU fans there, that's 1 LSU fan for 6 SMU fans. We still need to be loud and proud and protect our House.

I'm expecting 600-800 which doesn't look like much in person. Either way, it's going to be really loud. Can't wait

Plus, if it really is a six to one advantage for us, their noise will only serve to aggravate us and goad us into being even louder and more animated. Just watch.

I can't wait for LSU chants to quickly morph into SMU chants. If I hear an SEC chant, I will throw up.

SMU should use its usual buzzkill policies to its own advantage for once and strictly enforce a NO POMPOM/SHAKER policy, confiscating them at the door

This

I have 2 season tickets and bought 5 for this game. So one season ticket holder doubled his ticket holding. I can't believe others did not do the same?

Guess we will see in a few hours. Regardless, I agree with what others have said, even if they have 1k, which I find hard to believe, all that's going to do is rouse more smu chants from the crowd. We won't get out cheered in our house with the home court advantage we've had thus far.
