Last year Baylor won the NIT and is still playing in the NCAA tourney, I think making the NIT might not be such a bad thing for the Mustangs, huge game tonight hope they can pull it out! I also just saw where a top recruit is going to be at the game Elijah Thomas, huge chance to make a strong impression, go Ponies!

I think Thomas will be there to see his cousin play for LSU in this case. I think SMU has already made a strong impression on him.

Will be Elijah's 8th SMU game. . . 7 at SMU, and 1 road game to watch SMU as an "unofficial visit" to Memphis. Don't think any juniors will start to commit until the summer AAU Circuit is over, and the kids head back to high school for their senior year.

I just looked at Baylor's path last year. They were a 2 seed in Kentucky's bracket. Lucky for them Kentucky lost in the 1st round to Robert Morris. They beat Long Beach St, Arizona St, Providence, BYU and Iowa in the championship.

You are correct, still a nice run by them. I'm not a fan of Scott Drew as a person but I give him major props on last nights win, coached a gem!!

Nothing lucky about Kentucky losing in the NIT and not having to face Baylor. BU had already won at Rupp earlier that year, then beat them in Arlington this season.
