-Miles Simon, the ESPN announcer along with John Saunders. Said something along the lines of calling other big games, especially in the Big 12 this yr.
Recruits take notice.
Arkansas/Cal and Georgetown/Florida St sounded like cemeteries last night.

What little I could see, looked like the crowd was into the game.

That was an absolutely unbelievable environment last night. We truly have one of the best home court advantages in all of major college bball.

My ears are still ringing. Haven't had that sensation since a Ted Nugent concert in the mid 70's......

I wish I could've got a pic of him but to see how into the game Vince was - half man, half amazing - was awesome. And when they announced him at the game, the reaction from the players was pretty cool. There aren't many athletes who kids love more than Vince. He's a bball god to young hoopsters.

In the radio postgame interview Larry Brown said he felt it shaking for the first time.

DMN:
“This environment here is as good as any,†said SMU coach Larry Brown, who has been in and out of countless arenas in his 50 years of coaching. “This was the loudest I’ve experienced. We’ve got a beautiful building, but I never imagined it would be like this.â€

And I thought the LSU coach did a pretty good job of utilizing his timeouts to try and dampen the noise/energy level, but our crowd did an excellent job of ramping the level back up after we returned.

You gotta wonder if Jordan Mickey thought about what it would be like playing in Moody when a total of 15 people watch an average LSU basketball game. If we had this environment last year, he comes to SMU. Should bode well going forward though.

I did get a kick out of the guy and girl that started mugging down whenever they got on vidya board.
I knew several UT fans that were at the game last night rooting for SMU. They had all been to a home game, had a good time, and came back because they had so much fan. UT alumni becoming SMU t-shirt fans.
