I'll start w/ schedule results - emphasis on NCAA tourney teams: looks like they're tested.

Wins:
Arkansas twice
Oregon once

Split w/ Arizona, Stanford & Colorado

Losses: (by large margins)
Creighton
Dayton
Syracuse
UCLA twice

Lost 4 of 5 to end season.

Please add any relative info: lineup, height, miscellaneous, etc.

I think we win a nailbiter: they played late game Mon. night, they travel - losing 2 hours, and Moody Magic.

Was hoping Arkansas would beat Cal. Think a team like Arkansas would melt down from Moody Magic. Cal has a lot of seniors on their roster. They also have 4 starters that average double figures (between 11-15 ppg). Now, Cal doesn't have much of a bench to speak of. But, the most important factor. . . Cal coach, Mike Montgomery 10x>>>over Arkansas coach, Mike Anderson. If Mike Montgomery isn't in the hall of fame as a basketball coach, he should be. Haven't looked up the exact number. But, I thought Mike has over 500 wins in his coaching career?

I think that they only go 7 deep if I recall from the game last night. Hopefully our depth will make a big difference.

no woo-pig-sooey from the rafters-so sad-although they would have gotten shut out even more than LSU did in Ticket Sales-BECAUSE we have a strong season ticket base now.

Doubt they have experienced many loud crowds in the fair-weather state of Cali

Unlike the other sport, if "we do what we do" we should win. Guys have to come out motivated with high energy. Anyone else have the scoop on them? Depth? Front line? All I know is that they have a great coach, which makes me nervous (that coupled with no real rivalry and I get nervous about our guys' energy).

When the guy got kicked in the nuts before halftime, they started naming off all of their injured players, and it was a bunch.

I gathered last nite that one of their better players has been sidelined by concussion but not sure if he will be medically released for SMU

the kid with the concussion is 6-10 Senior Center named Soloman-averages 11 points and an outstanding 10 rebounds per game. I would think he would still be doubtful for SMU based on Coach's statement published yesterday

"He hasn't passed any of the tests. There's no way," head coach Mike Montgomery said. "The protocol is such that you have to pass the first test to get to the second test. We're not even past the first test."

Based off of last night's starting 5 in the box score, they have nice nice length but they don't seem very tall without their concussed center. They started 4 guards and a forward. 6-6, 6-6, 6-5, 6-4, 6-9. Our bigs should have a good game.

Cal's defense was mostly a 3-2 zone although it could have been a 1-2-2. Looked like room on the base line. Ok gym rats, your comments are welcomed.
