Honestly, I never expected to be in a post season race for a championship, even at the NIT level, in my lifetime.

This is better than the Hawaii Bowl because with Larry it's about the players and fans.....and he seems to appreciate all of it.

That was June's high point, I don't even think winning a tier 3 bowl on Christmas eve against an opponent who didn't even want to be there even comes close to SMU going to Madison Square Garden with this young team with a top recruiting class coming in next year that should make SMU one of the top teams in the nation.

Apples and oranges, the football success was done with smoke and mirrors, you play enough crappy teams, you can be bowl eligible. this basketball team, however is on the road to being one of the best in the nation.

No comparison.

best part about this season, and this night, SMU is now relevant again with a whole generation of kids and fans. This season will have lasting effects for the next 50 years. Literally. What a fantastic legacy Larry Brown has already left at SMU. And the guys who built Moody. Incredible turn of events but New Moody wouldn't have been what it is without Ole Larry.

I have to agree that this was better than the Hawaii Bowl. Hawaii Bowl was like the CBI or CIT. This is like winning the Capital One Bowl, Cotton Bowl or something like that.

Thank you coach Brown. What a reward to be able to take your college team back home to NYC.

Regardless of what happens Tuesday or next season or the season after that..This season has been one for the ages.

Thank you Coach Brown! You have built a winning culture at SMU. Something that we are all very proud of. As an SMU Alum who has always wanted to root for a winning program, trying to put any of this into words is impossible. Your reputation as a Hall of Fame Head Coach and leader of men has been proven time and again this season. Your basketball experience is truly second to none.

Before this season we had no identity. You have turned around our program. Your honesty and professionalism are beyond admirable. You shine the light on your players, your coaches, SMU, our fans, our school, Moody, and the Dallas community, never taking credit for any of your successes. We are all beyond grateful. Thanks to you our guys "play the right way". We are now a force in college basketball! Pony Up! Thank you for representing SMU with class and dignity. So proud to be a Mustang!

Loved tonight when he motioned for us students to get louder with around 2 minutes left. Makes me feel like I was a part of this win somehow. haha
