Put four in a car. It's just over 1500 miles and you can do it in about 25-28 hours. Towards the low end or better with four drivers. 3000 miles round trip = 10 tanks of gas split four ways. Find me and I'll handle your beer.

That is pretty good. /I go back and forth to Austin frequently for 280-300 r/t. But getting between Love and NY can be a bit tougher.

That was one way. I checked. Flights back on Friday were no less than $450.

No. I have a bad cold, my wife is ill, starting a remodel and demolition starts Monday. Not the best time to leave. Wish I could.

Check flights into Newark and Islip, Long Island as well. Both have fairly easy access into Manhattan. LIRR from Islip goes into PennStation…MSG's basement.

Flying Southwest into Newark. Leave Tuesday. Guessing there will be some PonyFans on my flight.
NJ Transit direct from Newark to Penn Station. Nice and easy.

I feel like asking to hitch a ride on a fellow SMU' fan's gulf stream isnt that outlandish compared to other colleges message boards

JetSuite Daily deals. Lot of flights headed into Teterboro, can usually get 4 seats for $500, not sure how much 6 seats are. Problems? Not many empty legs from Dallas to Teterboro so very low probability there is one on Tuesday when you want to leave. Also, you're on your own getting back to Dallas. Unless of course, convenient empty leg from Teterboro to Dallas on the exact day you want to come back.

Asking for a seat on a private jet is not unreasonable at all. In fact, it is one of the many stereotypes I love about SMU. When I have a jet, you can totally bum a ride!
