Two pieces on the best tandem in college sports. I am giddy about their call from the GARDEN tonight.

Verne does alright with his sports gig, but I truly believe "Bowling for Dollars" was his calling.
Raise your hand if you remember....

I like them both. Raff always utters a few words rapidly after the tip off of a game. Anyone know what he is saying?

Ah yes Verne. Remember back in the early to mid 70's when he used to announce SMU (football) games with our own Pete Stare as his stat man.

I think he usually says "man to man" if the defense starts out that way.

Verne was interviewed yesterday on the Boomer (Essiason) and Carton radio show in NYC. It was hilarious. At one point Verne said: "Well Then you can slap my [deleted] with a noodle." It has become an instant sound bite on the show.

Ugh - those two make a game unwatchable no offense.

Hit the mute button for them until Allie comes on at the half.

SERIOUSLY?!!

If you say you like Jim Nantz, then we are going to have a problem.

Phewph.

I have grown up listening to Verne (SEC, Masters, March Madness), so he is near and dear to my heart. I love Raff, the dude knows basketball and provides actual insight. Also love his genuine excitement/passion.
