I just don't like the guy. Just because you won a bunch of basketball games doesn't excuse poor behavior. Larry manages to do it everywhere he goes, is polite and friendly, is just as competitive and isn't an [deleted].

Bad link. Did he mention anything about choking the other team's offense? Or thrown things at the other team they aren't prepared for?

one of the few celebs who just gets under my skin. can't stand people who treat subordinates (and everyone else in Knight's case) like crap

If you didn't like his coaching style (not for me either), you definitely won't like his broadcasting. The few times I've watched him, he's been terrible. Hopefully he'll be more awake for an LB team.

Don't like all the garbage that he exhibited at times but the guy can flat out coach.

I sat next to him on the airplane on the way to Phoenix a couple months ago. Not a hug fan of his. I asked him about SMU and he said they are having great success and was really surprised. Had a lot of high praise for LB and his ability to coach and recruit.

He told me that he called LB after he accepted the HC job and asked him if he had gone insane/needed to get checked out by psychiatrist....convo died from there.

To each his own. I'd love to play for Coach Knight. And, yes, I know of his over the top behavior. He's still an unbelievable coach who deserves respect.

Crotchedy is what old men are supposed to be.

Except he has been crotchety since was 30, and he doesn't deserve my respect because he is a jerk. I respect his ability to coach basketball, but nothing else. Most of life is everything but coaching basketball.

My crotchety is getting old.

+ 1.....you nailed it !!! Really disappointed to hear he is doing the broadcast. He's the worst color man I have ever heard.
