Pretty good Myles Turner interview posted 3 hours ago. Interviewed at McDonald's All-American Game festivities. Does not mention SMU, but anything can happen!

“I’m going to let it come to me when it comes,†Turner said, adding that he probably won’t announce his choice until mid- to late April.
For now, Turner has a list of schools that includes Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma State, Ohio State, SMU and Duke. He likes Texas because it’s close to home — where his parents could see him play. He likes Kansas because coach Bill Self can churn out NBA big men. He said he feels particularly close to the coaching staff at Oklahoma State. Or he might stay home and play at SMU, alongside McDonald’s All-American guard Emmanuel Mudiay.
For now, Turner is pushing back against the recent buzz that his recruitment has become a two-man race between Kansas and Texas.
“It’s definitely a lot more open than that,†Turner said. “A lot of people assume that it’s just Kansas and Texas, because it’s close to home, it’s the Big 12. But I’m definitely looking at all my options. … I don’t even know where I’m going yet.â€

With incoming players: Mudiay, Turner, and Tolbert, next season could be unreal!

I honestly believe SMU is the leader but wouldn't be shocked either way

Tolbert coming shows that turner is not.
We're using the other ship on someone that can shoot the ball. Hopefully McCaw if you ask me

I think that we are definitely still in it, just think Mr. Myles Turner is holding his cards close to his vest. Hoping the announcement of his commitment happens at half time of the McDonald's All American Game tonight. Would be the best thing to happen to SMU Basketball since our Top 25 Ranking, and oh yeah, Emmanuel Mudiay's commitment! Go Mustangs! Pony Up!

I don't think Myles is coming here. He's afraid of the competition for playing time

He's not coming here, Kansas and Texas are clearly the top two, he will end up at one of those. Again, its not bad thing if we don't have him, we have so much depth at forward we will be fine

Did the Principle of his High School tell you this? Or was it the Cafeteria Lady?

If he wanted to ShockTheWord, this is what he would do...

I think our 10 man rotation is the scariest thing to a possible 1 and Done. That said Larry has shown you get major minutes if you are good (Markus and Nic Moore play a lot when not in foul trouble) and play defense.
I've always thought it was going to be between UT and KU for him. Still think it is between those two though Kansas has been fading here at the end. We have clearly made a late push but I think it's telling that he said UT checks the box of being close to home. If it were about coaching it would be OKie state as he clearly loves those guys. Thus, at the end of the day I feel like based on what Turner has said smu is probably 2 best in all of the factors he is considering. That makes us competitive but at the end of the day he will say what is most important to me and what school is best for that. Can't think of a category we win in.

Why take so long to decide? What more could Turner learn over the next month? I imagine Turner is waiting for Embed to declare or not. If Embed comes back to KU, SMU has a legit shot.

Do we really want to get into the one and done syndrome only sustainable under LB?
