Can we Secure the Parade Route?

Just saying,

I remember back in the 80s going to a pretty awesome downtown parade when the Dallas Sidekicks won some indoor soccer league championship, which the name of it escapes me now.

Regardless, it was a pretty sweet parade and was well attended, and the accomplishment was much less impressive than an NIT championship.

If SMU can seal this deal, they deserve a downtown parade.

/cheers.

Not jinxing it, was just pointing out if the City of Dallas can throw a pretty nice parade for an indoor soccer team whose star's name is Tatu...you can at least do the same for SMU.

GO PONIES!

You're starting to sound like the mavs and Cuban when they lost to the heat the first time around......

Y'all need to stop counting your chickens before they're hatched. Dallas fans.....

One strike. Just one strike. And some kids in Angola are now wearing Rangers World Series Champs shirts.

Let's win the game first. THEN we can talk parade in public.

Not counting chickens, just talking hypotheticals.

I am thinking an indoor soccer team can have a downtown parade, surely an NIT winner can.

Y'all ever wonder why the rest of the country loves watching your teams lose?

So glad that Mr. Freese and Mr. Berkman helped to ensure that all those poor children got wonderful Rangers World Champion gear.

If we win - I just hope that they light up that big Red Mustang on the Omni and leave it up through the entire Final 4 weekend as a nice reminder for all of the NCAA brass that are coming into Dallas this weekend, which will undoubtedly include the NCAA Men's Basketball Selection Committee. Would love to see an alum take out an ad in the DMN Sports Section for Friday/Saturday that reads: "Thank you NCAA Selection Committee" with a nice photo of Larry and the Team at MSG with hoisting the NIT Trophy.

I wouldn't be surprised if Larry took out an Ad himself, thanking the SMU fans for their support...
